The ARST is an American made and machine spun reflector that has a very distinct parabolic shape that when combined with the modeling style flashtubes was scientifically proven to create the most even illumination over the 60 degree rated field of view of any brand of flash and reflector combination. Then the reflector still has light gradually falling off till almost 180 degrees.
Because of the brightest part of the light being in the center with a very gradual fall of as the angle increases, you can then feather the light into a scene by aiming the brightest part of the light where it has to reach the furthest distance.
