HC10 Straight 10 Foot Head Cable

The Straight Head Cable HC10 is about 10 feet long and has a male end that plugs towards the Power Pack and a female end that matches with the male plugs on the Flash Heads. This is a suitable way to extend the Head's built-in cable by an extra ten feet or to use a ten foot cable directly to the male plug on the Signature Series Heads.
Manufacturer: Lumedyne, Inc.

If you want to make your Head's cable up to ten feet longer or maybe to have additional cable hanging around, this is a good solution for you.

The reason for a ten food cord is to use very tall light stands and keep the Power Pack very close to the floor.  A ten foot cord has the least extra weight or bulk will have the least possible energy loss due to the long cable length.  For example, adding 20 feet of extra cable will result in 1/4 of an f-stop of light loss.  This 10 foot cable causes about 1/10 f-stop of light loss.

These cables are produced here in our USA factory and thoroughly tested.  When the cables are used correctly, you should expect many years of reliable service.  The cable includes a red Velcro cable wrap for securing to the stand during use and rolling up for storage.

The key elements to success are plugging in connections before turning on the products, so that high voltage is not present before it is plugged correctly in.  And second, using the threaded locking collars to gently secure the cables into place.  Many failures happen after the cables are shaken loose during use because they were not locked into place.  It is not needed to make the collars tight, only threaded shut.

ADG4 Soft Diffuser Globe - 6 Inch

The ADG4 is a very simple but effective way to spread the light over a very wide area. While it does diffuse away 2.5 f-stops from the hottest part of the non-diffused direct reflector, it also spreads the light coverage from about 60 degrees to over 180 degrees. It is not perfectly even on a reflector in order to allow you to still aim the light where you want it the strongest, but it is perfectly even if you mount it "bare bulb" for that purpose.
