Lumedyne is location lighting and portable professional flash equipment.
We offer Cyclers and the X to power other brands of flashes. And, we have a modular flash system that has a proven track record of being a highly reliable source of light for professional photographers for over 45 years.
To build a full flash system, you wil need a Power Pack, a Flash Head, a Battery and a Charger. Some added cables and accessories might be a great addition and you need to trigger the system with a radio or light slave or a sync cord.
We have photographers on staff to answer your questions, so give us a call and let us help you create your own perfect lighting solution for on location.
The BC12 allows you to add your own car or marine battery inside of the container and flash for thousands of flashes per charge. These were originally invented for team sports photographers who needed to compete with full sunlight thousands of times per day while they are out in the middle of a field. Fashion photographers have used it the same way on a beach or the street...
The CU4A mounts on top of the CU1Z Charger to expand its single Battery capacity into four Batteries at once. This Adapter is not a charger by itself but does work with the Auto Charger to allow up to four Batteries to be automatically maintained and topped off without having to swap Batteries around.
The CU4A does have two helpful indicators that show that the Batteries connected did reach a full charge level and another that warns you if a bad Battery is plugged into one of the connectors.
The name says it all because this gizmo does it all... Plug it into a cigarette lighter 12V DC jack in your car, truck, RV or drone and it can recharge Batteries or run Lumedyne Power Packs.
Plus, if that were not already enough, it has a separate Battery Gauge and 6 pin connector that works independent of power to test Batteries.
It's small, lightweight, versatile, and capable. Plus, with a 20 foot cable it is able to reach beyond your front seats when you want it to.
The Straight Head Cable HC20 is about 20 feet long and has a male end that plugs towards the Power Pack and a female end that matches with the male plugs on the Flash Heads. Thats about six meters long.
This is the longest cable we offer and is a suitable way to extend the Head's built-in cable by an extra twenty feet or to use a twenty foot cable directly to the male plug on the Signature Series Heads.
The Straight Head Cable HC10 is about 10 feet long and has a male end that plugs towards the Power Pack and a female end that matches with the male plugs on the Flash Heads.
This is a suitable way to extend the Head's built-in cable by an extra ten feet or to use a ten foot cable directly to the male plug on the Signature Series Heads.
The Straight Head Cable HCST is about 5 feet long and has a male end that plugs towards the Power Pack and a female end that matches with the male plugs on the Flash Heads.
This is a suitable way to extend the Head's built-in cable by an extra five feet or to use a five foot cable directly to the male plug on the Signature Series Heads.
This coiled extension cord for the Lumedyne Heads is about 3 feet long before you start to stretch it and can easily stretch to about 7 feet. It has the silver round Head plugs at each end; one male for the Pack end and one female for the Head end.
This is a direct Head Cord for the Signature Heads and an extension cord for the other Heads that have a cord already.
AFSE Flashtubes fit all of the standard Flash Heads such as the Classic #001 and #002 Heads that had no modeling light feature. They also fit the new Extra Small Basic Heads HSBC.
The Flashtubes push/pull straight in/out and they will last for tens of thousands of flashes or one face down fall onto a hard surface.
Any of the Heads that have a modeling light would use the AFTE instead of this one.
The Quantum™ brand Q-Flashes with an X in the Part number are designed to run from a Pack like the Lumedyne brand. In order to plug in their black four pin plug into the Lumedyne metal six pin socket, then you need an adapter like this one.
It's true that Quantum™ also sells their own version of this adapter cable, however, we use a better strain relief system that helps prevent clamping the cable into a short circuit and perhaps damaging some electronics.
